Feedback from Prime Coffee Customers

"Dear Henriette
Received mypressi today – and very happy with it.
My first try was no good – was very watery – but re-ground my beans and it came out amazingly well for a second go – nice and thick with a  good head - so very happy.  Will have to play around with the grain size and pressure I tamper the ground beans.
But a great start to a very nifty machine.  You may be getting a few more orders from Armidale, NSW!!"

"Bonjour Henriette, just a little note to say I love mypressi. It took a couple of days to get the grind and tamper just right - but now I'm enjoying it immensely.
The only down side is that now my children expect cappuccino's on demand!"

"Hi Henriette. How are you, mypressi working fantastic, lots of interest from my workmates, think I sold a couple already! Thankyou."

"Why I'm buying another mypressi? When I showed it to my boating mate today, he just said "Get me one". His son is a coffee buff and complains that he can't get a decent coffee on the boat. "This will shut him up."

Review from Prime Coffee Customer

Hi Henriette,

Thank you

The mypressi arrived today by Australia Post. In fact the delivery timing couldn't have been better as I was just about to head into the kitchen to make myself a coffee using my old faithful electric espresso machine. Rather than do that I thought I'd give my new “toy” the mypressi a workout in stead and see how good it is.

My first impressions on opening the product were that it is nicely packaged and looks very slick. I quickly unpacked everything and had a quick skim through the user manual to see what i had to do to prep it and make my first coffee. The instructions are very simple and easy to follow so i had the unit washed and sitting on the bench preheating within about 10 minutes while I ground some coffee.

The first shot out of the machine looked very good and had a nice rich caramel colour and thick crema which suggested I got the fist mix pretty much right. I quickly steamed some milk, added it to the coffee laid on some chocolate sprinkles and gave it to my wife (who at this point was expecting a coffee from our electric espresso machine). When I asked her how her coffee was she said it was very good as usual although it seemed to taste perhaps a little stronger or richer than normal. I smiled and told her I didn't use our normal machine to make the coffee this morning.

She was very surprised and wanted to see what I used to make it and how the thing worked. So proudly I quickly ground some more coffee, gave the mypressi a quick rinse and preheat and then pulled a second shot from it. This time I got amount of coffee and water just about perfect and the espresso that came out looked spectacular. I finished off the coffee up as per my wife's (we both like capuchinos) and eagerly took a mouthful. Brilliant!!

I am very impressed with the device and the quality of espresso it produces. In fact I would have to say it is every bit as good (perhaps even better) than our $800 electric espresso machine that we use all the time and love. Now that I know I have a device like this that I can take with me when we go camping or traveling just puts a huge smile on my face and makes me want to pack the Hilux and head out bush.

My only (small) criticisms of the unit is that the plastic parts feels a bit weak and I’m afraid they could break if i were to accidently drop it (could happen when camping). Ideally I would have liked to see the bottom section of the mypressi made out of cast aluminium like the water reservoir is to improve overall strength and heat retention (in fact one made out of a polished aluminium sphere would be fantastic) .

Also having to rely on the gas bulbs to run it is a bit of a pain especially when travelling by plane but I knew that when I bought it and it was a small sacrifice I was prepared to make if the quality of the espresso was good – which it certainly is.

So in summary than you for your prompt service and the excellent product and I hope to get many years of enjoyment and excellent espresso out of it. I also expect you will see orders come in from a number of my friends once they see how good the coffee is that the mypressi makes. Now all i need is a good portable coffee grinder and a milk frother to make my camping tripe complete.

"Excellent, Easy Espresso From an Affordable Portable Machine"

"The Twist uses cartridges of nitrous oxide (yes, hippits) to generate nine bars of pressure. This even stream of happy gas forces hot water through a compressed puck of grounds or an espresso pod. It makes only double doses, but a forked spout can split the portion. It’s dead easy to operate, and since a cartridge makes four pours, there’s not a lot of fiddling between rounds. Best yet, the thick, rich brew is just as good as what you’d get from a $2,000 countertop machine."

"Consistency shot to shot, simplified shot prep"

"In the past, espresso aficionados visited their local cafe for an expertly prepared drink on commercial equipment because making a decent espresso at home simply wasn't an option. Nowadays, the best cafes are as likely to be in the kitchen of a dedicated home barista as down the street, thanks to the availability of lower-cost high-quality gear and access to espresso-making knowledge through sites like this one. With the introduction of the mypressi TWIST, mobile espresso lovers have another option to consider.

Bottom line: The TWIST V2 shows better consistency shot to shot, simplified shot prep, and delivers quality espresso using four different coffees, from medium to dark roasts covering blends and single origin coffees."

"I can’t think of a single espresso device that does the job better than the mypressi Twist."

"A machine this isn’t. The mypressi Twist is a handheld, trigger activated, goddamn space age ray gun of espresso. In every way, its spherical bulb and twisted handle resembles the utopian future promised by 60s sci-fi writers: a glass dome for every roof, a jetpack on every back, and a portable espresso device in every hand. And why not? For all the talk about semi-commercialness of parts integrated into the low cost of the Rancilio Silvia, why not talk about the semi-commercialness of parts integrated into the Twist for a mere fraction of the cost?

The low expectations for a handheld espresso device, and the high delivery and low cost of the mypressi Twist make it a befuddling brew device, for sure."

"Household mypressi TWIST gives espresso addicts an easier way to indulge"

"In a beautiful effort to keep addicts far away from prisons and ever closer to their productivity machines, Espressi has unveiled the mypressi TWIST, which is described as a truly portable espresso maker that delivers top-notch goods without the wait. The secret to the one-pound device is the pneumatic engine that provides constant pressure throughout the extraction cycle."
