How does mypressi Work?

mypressi® TWIST® is a portable Espresso Maker designed and engineered by coffee geeks and released in November 2009. It makes single and double-shot espresso from both fresh ground coffee and ESE pods.

Choosing your showerhead and coffee basket

Your mypressi Twist standard package includes two showerheads (standard & pod) and three coffee baskets (standard, coarse & pod).

For Double Shots (18-21g ground coffee)

The standard coffee basket holds fresh finely ground espresso coffee beans whereas the coarse coffee basket is for pre-ground coffee or for coffee you can't grind finely enough for traditional espresso. Both basket holds 18-21 grams of ground coffee beans and are to be used with the standard showerhead.

For Single Shot (pod or 8-10g ground coffee)

For the single shot, you can use the pod coffee basket labelled 'POD'. Your choice of showerhead will depend on whether you make your espresso from pods or ground coffee beans.

Coffee Pod

It is specifically designed for single serving 7g ESE compatible coffee pods and is to be used only with the pod showerhead.

Ground Coffee Beans

You can tamp 8-10g of coffee into the pod basket but you must use the standard showerhead (not the pod showerhead).
